This newest board highlights Samuel Crothers and the incredibly important role he played in the Abolitionist Movement. You can find it placed in front of the old burial ground, with Crothers’ gravesite located just behind it in the cemetery—an especially meaningful spot to honor his legacy. Fight Bags, a heartfelt project started by a McClain High School student and his family, is now celebrating its 8th year of spreading love and comfort to those battling cancer during the holiday season. 💜 All bags will be delivered the week before Christmas to Adena Cancer Center, the Chillicothe VA Cancer Center, and to individuals right here in our community who are fighting this fight. Each year, these bags are deeply appreciated — for many, they provide a little relief,

We’re gearing up for our community’s big celebration of local shops — inspired by the national “Shop Small” movement by American Express.  Here’s the plan: We’ll supply each participating business with a $25 gift card from your shop. Community members who visit your shop on the designated day will receive a ticket for our raffle drawing. At the end, one lucky ticket wins one of our $25 gift-cards (so each participating business will have their gift card awarded to a winner).
