The Greenfield Theatre Guild needs your help creating a little Christmas magic! They are putting out the call to anyone interested in being part of their upcoming original production, A Jukebox Christmas.Singers, dancers, actors, musicians, artists, stagehands, sound and lighting crew, carpenters, costume makers—you name it! There is a place for every talent and every helping hand. This heartwarming production is set in a local diner, where a jukebox weaves music from the 1960s through the early 1980s into a story that reflects the tragedies, challenges, and hopes our country faced during those decades. The musical journey includes everything from rock and country-western to more traditional compositions. The Greenfield Theatre Guild has a wonderful tradition of bringing the community together through Christmas productions. Their first Christmas show, “A City Sidewalk Christmas”, was presented in 2009, followed by “A Village Herald Christmas” in 2013 and “A Night of Peace” in 2018.

Now, the community will have the opportunity to experience another memorable Guild production, A Jukebox Christmas, on December 19 and 20 in the newly renovated auditorium of the historic Edward Lee McClain High School. This community venture is funded in part by an Ohio Arts Council Grant and reflects the Guild’s commitment to making the arts accessible to everyone. The Greenfield Theatre Guild is a community collective devoted to bringing people together through vibrant, inclusive live theater and musical events. The Guild nurtures local talent, tells meaningful stories, and creates memorable performances that enrich the community, inspire imagination, and make the arts accessible to all. As Guild member Susan Long explains: “This show offers our population an opportunity to enjoy a production that incorporates a broad spectrum of artistic genres, including music, acting, dance, and stage production. Our community has produced a number of very talented artists, and this show will allow us to pool these talents together as an opportunity to uplift our small Appalachian town.”

A Jukebox Christmas is more than a show; it is a chance for the community to come together, share its talents, and create something memorable. They need you to help make the magic happen! For more information, visit the Greenfield Theatre Guild on Facebook or text Susan at 937-403-4275.
