We’re thrilled to have Just My Type Jewelry by Avery Applegate of Hillsboro, Ohio represented in this year’s Bourbon and Bliss Art Auction!

Avery, a retired art teacher, has always had a passion for the old, the unusual, and the overlooked. Her childhood pockets were filled with sparkling stones, feathers, snail shells, and other little treasures—and that same love of collecting the wonderfully unexpected continues to inspire her art today.

Her assemblage-style jewelry combines vintage photographs, found objects, and forgotten treasures to create one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art. Each piece feels like a tiny glimpse into another time, pairing mysterious old photographs with odds and ends that might otherwise have been forgotten.

Her work is created to spark conversation, compliments, and a little curiosity—and we think it will make a truly special addition to the Bourbon & Bliss Art Auction.
